How secure is my data?+
Database connections are encrypted with AES-256-GCM. For SQL databases, no data is copied — only metadata (table names, columns) is stored. Your data stays in your database.
What languages are supported?+
The interface is available in German, English, French, and Italian. You can ask questions in any of these languages — the AI responds in the same language.
How do credits work?+
Each query uses credits. Simple questions cost 1 credit, complex analyses 2–3 credits. The free plan includes 50 credits per month. Credits can be purchased anytime.
Can I connect my own database?+
Yes. You can connect any PostgreSQL database. datemydata connects live and queries your data in real time — no copy needed.
What is semantic indexing?+
When connecting your data, the AI automatically analyzes your schema and creates a business glossary. This way it understands that 'revenue' refers to a column in the sales table or 'customer' means the Customer table.
Can I share results?+
Yes. You can share individual answers as a public link — no login required for viewers. Links are valid for 30 days by default.
What export formats are available?+
CSV, Excel (.xlsx), PDF, and JSON. You can also copy results to the clipboard. The PDF export includes the question, answer, and data table with datemydata branding.
Can data sources update automatically?+
Yes. For online URL sources, you can enable auto-refresh with intervals of 6 hours, 12 hours, daily, or weekly. The data is re-downloaded and re-indexed automatically so your analysis stays up to date.
How does the AI understand my data?+
During indexing, table structures, relationships, and sample values are analyzed. The AI automatically creates a business glossary with German, English, and French terms. This allows it to precisely map natural language to your data model.
